Indiana University’s leadership role
At Indiana University, Jetstream will be implemented by staff of the Pervasive Technology Institute, under the leadership of Jetstream Principal Investigator and PTI Executive Director Craig Stewart. David Hancock, manager of High Performance Systems, will lead the actual implementation of the system.
Jetstream will be implemented with the involvement of several faculty from the School of Informatics and Computing, including:
- Professor Beth Plale, who will use Jetstream as a platform to deploy advanced text analysis tools developed by the Hathi Trust Research Center, and will be involved in enhancement and development of new Big Data analysis tools developed by the Data to Insight Center. (Plale leads both organizations.)
- Professor Katy Börner, who will work with the Jetstream team to deploy network analysis and visualization tools developed by the Cyberinfrastructure for Network Science Center, which she leads.
- Professor Volker Brendel, who will lead implementation on Jetstream of several bioinformatics tools developed by his lab, and will also be a key leader in outreach and education activities related to Jetstream.
In addition, IUPUI Computer and Information Science Professor Fengguang Song will work with the Jetstream team to optimize application performance of applications running on Jetstream.
