CACAO, one of the cloud-native user interfaces on Jetstream2, offers our users a platform to deploy and share complex research software stacks using Terraform and Ansible. The CACAO catalog currently includes numerous templates, ranging from creating virtual SLURM clusters ("Magic Castle" by the Digital Research Alliance) to configuring JupyterHubs for courses or teams.
To support the growing demands of AI/ML workloads and the National AI Research Resource (NAIRR) on Jetstream2, we have introduced new templates:
- Ray Cluster: An open-source framework for AI/ML pipelines. Learn more about Ray Cluster.
- Kubeflow Cluster: An open-source platform to deploy AI/ML applications. Learn more about Kubeflow Cluster.
In related news, a student group from the University of Arizona published their capstone project on Pose Estimation using SLEAP and DeepLabCut in the CACAO catalog to demonstrate research software reproducibility for other students. View the template.
CACAO supports forthcoming GPU flavors that will be deployed for NAIRR.
