The Jetstream2 AI Fellows Program is a unique opportunity for both early career and established researchers. The program aims to provide researchers with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to leverage Jetstream2 in their AI-based research projects.

The fellows program consists of four components: project consultation, Jetstream2 training, priority access to GPU resources, and research community contribution. Applications are open to NAIRR-pilot PI eligible researchers, as well as graduate students with an approved letter of collaboration.

Apply by October 30, 2024 to be considered for the program, which runs from January to September 2025.

To help ensure resource availability for the entire Jetstream2 community, the following changes to the Jetstream2 acceptable use policy will go into effect on November 1.

Floating IPs for shelved instances: As these are a finite resource, any floating IP associated with an instance that has been shelved longer than 90 days is subject to being reclaimed by the system.

"Long-term" shelved instances: Abandoned instances continue to occupy resources even when in an inactive state. Any instance that has been shelved for a period of one year or more will be removed, and any data stored on it will be lost.

Do you need to share data with students or colleagues across Jetstream2 instances? Consider using a Manila shared filesystem, which you can now quickly and easily create in Exosphere.

OpenStack Manila is a network filesystem managed by Jetstream2 that allows users to share filesystems between multiple instances. Manila shares can be created directly in Exosphere by first enabling "Experimental Features" in your Exosphere settings.

The link below contains step-by-step instructions for creating, accessing, and mounting your Manila share.
